The 4X4 SPORT project was born with the aim of promoting the Venetian foothills area, represented by the mountain areas of the Provinces of Belluno, Treviso and Vicenza, and the surrounding hilly areas, as ideal places for offering adrenaline-filled and sports-related experiences to the natural elements of the territory such as: Air: experience the area from above, through free flight and paragliding; Water: dive into the thrill of canyoning, rafting, sailing; Earth: the acceleration of the pulse when climbing, or practicing MTB, Nordic Walking, Trekking, Hiking, tackling snow-covered routes even with skis or snowshoes. Fire: the spark, the energy of the discovery of Veneto on E-bikes.
The project therefore, born as a thematic project across 3 tourist destinations in the Veneto (Vicenza, Treviso and the Belluno Dolomites) saw the active involvement of two of the area brands: Valbelluna and the Lands of Asolo and Monte Grappa and intended to represent, with its varied offering, a set of thematic products and sub-products, all characterized by this common objective and, in a completely new way, promoted through a new common brand “4X4 SPORT”. The aggregation is governed by the leader Consorzio Turistico Dolomiti Prealpi and includes the accommodation facilities The ancient Abbey (Borso del Grappa), Rifugio Pranolz (Borgo Valbelluna), Garden Relais (Borso del Grappa), Hotel Casagrande (Feltre), Hotel San Giacomo (Paderno del Grappa), San Liberale (Feltre), Albergo Croce d’Aune (Pedavena); the transport and rental companies Antoniazzi and My Pro Driver Shuttle and Transfer of Fausto Bosa for the Grappa area; the Vagabond Rent bike rental in Pederobba, the Pegasus Tours travel agency in Asolo; the Bar Pizzeria Tennis Basso Pietro restaurant in Cavaso del Tomba; the Nevegal 2021 Srl sports companies and cooperatives of Belluno, Ssd Pedale Feltrino Srl of Feltre, Cooperativa Elementa of Feltre, the Ivan Team rafting center of Solagna, the I Lupi Team Adventure Run Sports Group and other commercial and service activities in the area Treviso Prealps such as Villa Serena Ss Società Agricola, Apicoltura Piovesan di Baggio Alessandra, Via Roma Bottega d’Arte di Santarelli Ivana and Massimo Snc as well as the Fondazione Museo Dello Scarpone e Della Calzatura Sportiva di Montebelluna.
The aggregation with the present project has systematized the resources involved in local territorial tourism development, enhancing at an international level a coordinated and varied offer that allows us to appreciate experiential tourist products available in the various seasons of the year, with a view to affirmation of the Venetian Prealps area as an organized and competitive eco-destination for a sport-based holiday, attentive to both environmental and social sustainability, and strengthening its visibility towards foreign markets. The contribution granted is equal to €506,230.64 against a total planned investment of €645,163.30.
